Submissions Midnight, January 8th, 2023
We are looking for a Freelance Leeds/Yorkshire-based Producer to support the planning activity which will bridge our current to the next.
The initial period of engagement is 10 days, with a possibility of extending if needed, paid at £250pd. Consultations and preparations will commence in February for summer-autumn activities.
Ramped is an inclusive dance company based in Leeds that develops queer sociologies
to support accessible professional arts practices. Our ‘current project ‘Off-Centre’ explores the societal impact of bodies through the body-landscape metaphor. Following three successful test events, we have partnered with Arts Council England, English Heritage, The National Trust & Yorkshire Sculpture Park and will tour the work from mid-March to Mid-May with international touring being considered for 2024.
Having received significant investment and support in our first year, we are keen to capitalise on the momentum of this support and are looking for a producer to help us grow and develop as a company. You do not need to be experienced in access and inclusive theatre, just have a genuine interest and curiosity in making accessible work.
We’re looking for someone to:
Prepare funding bids
Assist with budget
Manage communications to external supporters and theatres
Meeting deadlines associated with our timeline
Drawing up fair contracts
Support in the smooth running and preparation of a tour.
If interested please email:
Please Include a CV, something about yourself (either through email, a video or audio message), any dates that you aren't available from February - June.
We are open to alternative application formats.
If the above method is not accessible to you pease get in touch to discuss.
PERFORMER CALL OUT
Final Submissions - January 31st
Call Out for professional dancers, performers & artists for new production;
‘What We Leave Behind’ (working title)
In partnership with Leeds BHA Skyline, & NSCD, ‘We Are Ramped CIC’ are calling for expressions of interest for ‘What We Leave Behind’ (Working Title); a new cross arts project which discusses/addresses the ongoing stigma that continues to surround people living with HIV. We are looking for professional dance artists, performers & arts collaborators with lived experience of HIV & AIDS (including experiences of supporting and working with people living with HIV) for the research and planning phases of the project.
Due to the nature of this research a confidentiality clause and non-disclosure agreement will be in place to support participants who would like to engage anonymously. Acknowledgments of support and contributions to the work will be discussed and designed on an individual basis.
Initial expressions of interest will lead to positions on the project advisory panel, presenting an opportunity for artists to consult and add their voices to an ambitious touring cross arts production during its early planning stages. Together with the project partners, the selected artists will help to design the project from the preparation of the budget and determining the project spending, to consulting on recruitment plans and deciding what the final production will look like. Contributing artists will later have the opportunity to engage with the project as paid collaborators and/or performers.
In order to deliver on both the artistic and educational aspirations that this partnership aims towards, we are looking for dancers, performers and artists with three years professional experience who are comfortable in collaborative devising processes and confident in their approach to research, performance, education leadership, and advocacy.

To be considered please send examples of your work (such as a show reel) along with a CV and a short letter (maximum 1 side of A4) which details why you think you are suitable for the post to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12:00am, January 31st, 2023.
